Hello,

Although I've been part of eBay since 1999 I'm glad to have found this alternative site with what appears to be much fairer pricing system for listing items and for its payment processor!

Please correct my post if I happen to miss some categories that are already in place that could handle my suggestions:

Old Paper: Booklets
(This would be for various paper booklets which are typically constructed of one or several sheets of folded paper forming pages, which are held together with staples or glue, etc...). Subcategories by theme or general date could perhaps be added later, but even a single category for booklets would be helpful for those collecting booklets (currently searching for booklets brings up a lot stamp booklets).

Other Collections: Souvenirs:
(This would be for placing those small items that people pick up on their vacations from work. These typically include items of various types (paper, ceramic, plastic, etc...) with a location printed on them. This category could be divided into further subcategories for different areas of the world (by region and/or country).

Other Collections: Games, Toys & Figurines: Group Games, Parlour Games:

Game Parts:
(For original, reproduction, and generic game parts.)

Toy Parts:
(For original, reproduction, and generic toy parts.)

hi OP,
welcome to delcampe. if you read seb's newsletter, you will see that they are in the process of refining the search engines and will have a server dedicated to just that soon. i know i have difficulty just finding my philatelic listings. but you must remember, we are dealing in several languages and the descriptions are just that. and what is called a booklet, can be several things in other languages. or in your case, it is listed as a philatelic item. but i know this, this site is a much better alternative to ebay as far as fees, so enjoy the freedom from oppressive gouging. and welcome to some very friendly neighbors.

amities (french for just being friendly),

Thanks for the input!

Yes, I agree that there can be problems with how different languages identify items, and perhaps I didn't quite clearly explain.

I actually think the search engine is working correctly in that it finds all items containing "booklets" as stamps are sold in booklets; however, currently persons looking for booklets not related to stamps have to sort through a lot stamp related booklets to perhaps find what they need.

I've attached a image of what I mean by booklets. One is booklet trying to encourage tourism to Australia and the other is a souvenir booklet on mining. Each is bound by staples and formed by folded sheets formed pages.

I'll submit the category suggestions via the link on the sell form, which I didn't know about before. Nice to see a Delcampe's simple and easy to use layout as opposed to the endless stream of pages you need to visit on eBay to get anything done!
