COVER: Mourning Cover from London to Market Harborough, July 15 1870 Great Britain (England) Mourning Cover from London to Market Harborough, July 15 1870, bearing an SG44. Plate 155. 1d Lake-Red, tied by fine July 1870 East London duplex, CDS, number and district in upright oval stamp. B/S with 70% visible (mark is partly stamped on broad black band) Market Harborough receiving CDS and part of another mark. Also bears fine envelope manufacturers mourning cachet. Condition: Opening the envelope has resulted in an approx 1cm x 5mm irregular piece remaining attached at point of seal. A few barely noticeable ink smudges (far less than 1% of the area) to the reverse face, otherwise; this is a Fine cover, with reverse face in almost the same condition as front, and without any other readily noticeable faults. We have concentrated on showing any faults on covers etc. Consequently, occasionally the shades in the photos may be misleading. However, if you email us for details of colour (or any other queries) we will be happy to respond. Incidentally, If you would like to see more photographs of any particular item; philatelic, books, or whatever, we will email up to 3 photos to you.
