Plate 209. 1d Lake-Red on very clean cover, tied by 13 April 1878, Hull, duplex, CDS, number (383) in upright duplex. B/S with 100% visible blurred Spilsby receiving CDS. Condition: The cover has been neatly slit open along top edge otherwise; this is a Fine cover, with reverse face in the same condition as front, and without any other readily noticeable faults. Photographs can be deceptive, particularly in showing correct depths of shade. We have concentrated on showing any faults on covers etc. Consequently, occasionally the shades in the photos may be misleading. However, if you email us for details of colour (or any other queries) we will be happy to respond. Incidentally, If you would like to see more photographs of any particular item; philatelic, books, or whatever, we will email up to 3 photos to you.
