Issue Date: 03.12.2007, at Asgiriya Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Post issued a circular shape commemorative stamp of the world highest test wicket taker, Muthiah Muralidaran on 03.12.2007. During the third day of the first test match at Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy, between Sri Lanka & Engalnd Murali bowled Paul Collingwood to scalp his 709th victim passing Australian leg spinner Shane Warne.

The stamp issued soon after he has broken the world record. The issue consists of stamp, first day cover & small sheetlet of 12.
